KRM Contractors

Since 1973, KRM Contractors of Telford Shropshire, have worked closely with architects and direct clients across Shropshire and the Midlands.
KRM was started in 1973 in Newport, Shropshire by 3 friends Ken Rumbles, Richard Holloway and Malcolm Smallman as a painting and decorating business, originally called KRM Decorators, and grew steadily over the years.

In the early 1990s KRM started carrying out building repairs and maintenance and this was expanded by Alan Rumbles taking on progressively larger projects for a variety of architects and local authorities whilst Ken Rumbles, one of the original friends ran the decorating.

In 1997 it was decided to change the business to a limited company and also to change the name to reflect the diversity of the business and we became KRM Contractors Ltd.

In 1998 Ken sadly passed away and Colin Rumbles took control of the decorating part of the business.
Since then KRM has continued to build up a healthy portfolio of regular clients and moved from Newport to a new base in Hortonwood.
