Riverhouse, Shrewsbury

Winning the LABC West Midlands Award for the best extension and alterations to an existing home in 2018 and with a professional architectural & design company and wonderful clients to deal with, we thoroughly enjoyed this project.

To carry out this project our first obstacle was the lack of area that we would have for parking and deliveries whilst also maintaining the on site facilities required to work safely and within CDM regulations. With this in mind we made a plan for deliveries to be co-ordinated within specific times, set up our facilities within the property and kept site storage to a minimum.

During the project we installed a new steel frame with timber frame construction to the first floor to extend the Master bedroom giving the floating room and full views up the River Severn towards the English bridge whilst extending the kitchen and outside seating patio area.
Following the extension of the outdoor seating area a new garden room was installed to enjoy the outdoor experience and the gardens laid with new lawns to finish off.

The internal was completely restructured, with new purpose made Oak staircase to give the house and new feel and flow through to a large lounge also looking out to the River and gardens and then decorated throughout with a fresh clean look. The external of the property, not to be left out, gained from a new Oak framed front entrance porch, coloured render to the complete external and new external lighting to show it all off.
